Part of the spiritual war is fought through ideologies, and Paul was good at fighting these battles. Some were trying to discount Paul's teaching by attacking his character. To deal with the false teachers, Paul pleads with the church in Corinth to look inward and stop following those who make judgments about holiness based on comparison. Spiritual warfare is revealing itself through the ideologies of today and in the desperate acts taken by those who attack the character of people speaking the truth in love.
